A small independent team
Traveling Eye is an independent travel publisher. We build focused hotel guides for travelers who choose a hotel for one thing it does exceptionally well.
Why we started
Most hotel lists are written around a place. We wanted guides written around the reason you pick a hotel in the first place: the pool, the view, the setting.
A guide with one focus can go deeper on what matters for that one reason, instead of covering everything a little. It can explain why each hotel made the list, and it can be kept up to date.

We research every hotel from its own website, its photos and its official listings, then cross-check the details that matter for your stay.

Each guide looks at hotels through one thing they do exceptionally well, and every page explains why a hotel is there.

First-hand, when it is first-hand
Where we have stayed somewhere ourselves, we say so and show our own photos. Everywhere else, the page shows where the facts come from.

Kept up to date
We revisit our guides and correct them as soon as we can confirm a change, from a renovated pool to a new name.
A good page earns trust on its own: its sources, its dates and the reasons behind every pick.
One team, one process
Traveling Eye is a small independent team of travel enthusiasts. Our pages are signed by the team rather than by individual writers, because each of them goes through the same steps: research, writing and a separate check.
